The East African medical vitals has reaffirmed it's commitment to advancing safe surgery in Uganda by pledging 30,000 pairs of surgery gloves to the association of Uganda surgeons in support of the 2026 annual surgical camp.
The donation reflects East Africa Medical Vitals continued investment in strengthening Uganda's health care system and improving access to safe, quality surgical care.
The commitment was announced by East Africa Medical Vitals managing director Brian Kavuya during the Association of surgeons annual surgical camp fundraising dinner held at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
While giving his remarks Kavuya reaffirmed EAMV's enduring partnership with Uganda's surgical fraternity and the company's shared vision of expanding access to safe, quality surgical services across the country.
In 2022 the company's donated 2800 pairs of sterile surgical gloves and partnered with the association during the annual surgeons conference where it engaged with health care proffesionals and reaffirmed it's commitment to strengthening surgical care in Uganda which signals a long standing collaboration and support for the association.
"Our partnership with Uganda's surgical fraternity is built on a shared purpose of delivering safer surgery and better outcomes, as Uganda's local manufacturers of surgical gloves we remain committed to providing health care proffesionals with high quality products that enable them to save lives safely and confidently, said Brian Kavuya.
While giving his remarks on behalf of Association of surgeons of Uganda, the association President Edward Kakungulu acknowledged that the consistent support of partners such as EAMV has enabled the organization to successfully deliver it's programmes year after year and that the upcoming Buganda region camp will be transformative for the thousands of patients and called upon the public to support and participate.
The association of surgeons of Uganda is the official body that unites all surgeons in Uganda and represnts the national agenda for advancement of surgery on behalf of surgeons.
